The Bossa Nova Beatniks where born in Greenwich Village in 1992 and have been playing in and around the New York Area ever since making twelve CD's along the way.

"We got together and began to try and make the sound suggested by the name
Bossa Nova Beatnik. Now I don't want to get too bent about a silly band name after all, but as I subscribe to the philosophies of both Beatnik and the Bossa Nova, I felt it would be a fun way to go for a while."
The Beatniks currently are based in New York City, New York.
